Higher: construct a genetic cross

Key ideas1 of 3

Start with the parent genotypes

Read the allele key and identify the parents. In this flower-colour model, B is dominant purple and b is recessive white. A heterozygous purple plant is Bb; a white plant is bb. Write the possible gamete alleles before filling a square.

Parent genotypes Bb and bb are given above an unfilled genetic cross for the learner to construct.
