Sustainable development meets the needs of people today without preventing future generations from meeting their needs. We need resources for health, food, homes and transport while limiting depletion and environmental damage.

Demand leads to resource extraction and products, affecting waste and remaining future supply; reducing, reusing and recycling reduces demand.
